Nur has joined Architecture at Queensland University of Technology Brisbane as a Senior Lecturer in mid-2000. After completing her Master’s degree on solar architecture, she worked as a researcher at the Building Institute of Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK-YAE). She joined the Faculty of Architecture, Middle East Technical University as a full-time academic; completed her PhD degree on thermal performance analysis of building envelope; was promoted to Associate Professor. She lectured in various Universities in architectural science units and design studios such as The University of New South Wales, University of Technology Sydney, The University of Sydney, and Gazi Universitesi. She has completed over a dozen projects as a team leader and worked on others as a team member; supervised Masters and PhD students to successful completion; and published in highly regarded scholarly journals and refereed conferences.
She is a registered architect in Turkey and since 2001 she has been a member of RAIA (Royal Australian Institute of Architects) Queensland Chapter Subcommittees of Practice and Training for Energy Efficiency. |
